Listen up, men! If your wife is pregnant, it counts. Even if she hasn’t given birth yet,Β and said offspring is the size of a chick pea, it still counts. She’s a mother.

It’s time for the Trifextra weekend challenge!
This weekend’s Trifextra is the first of its kind. This weekend we only need 32 words from you, because we’re giving you the 33rd. Your challenge is to write anything you want, in whichever form you please, so long as your response is exactly 33 words and includes the word “mother.”
Good luck! And to those of you women with children who have called, will call, or already do call attention to your natural process of aging: happy Mother’s Day.
Straight up! Give em heck π
I WAS NOT a happy camper that year! π‘ And to think, the only one that took my side was my MIL……… *sigh*
Oh my heck! Well that’s one for the chronology of Mothering, to be sure!
Ya, especially since he was born not even a month later. Meh.
I hope my brother-in-law realizes that. I’m sure he does … but I should remind him, since my sister’s 8-weeks.
YES!!! Mothers in waiting are mothers nonetheless…… Thanks for stopping by! π
Good reminder.
Thanks for linking up again. Be sure to come back Monday for the new prompt.
Of course! Happy Mother’s Day! π
oh no….I can’t do it. just can’t do it. 32 words is not enough for me, I can type 32 words in a nanosecond. I am the twitterer that ALWAYS goes over my tweet count. Which is 140 characters.
So, since I’m not a biological mother and only have 4 legged children with fur, I will wish all you moms out there (real or imaginary) a Happy Mother’s Day!
LOL, that low word count is hard!
I also think that biology alone does not a mother make……. π
Yep, it counts! I can’t believe there was ever question about it π
I know! I was pretty steamed! π‘
Hell, yeah. It does!
π
It counts for sure! Good idea to remind people of that. The chick pea reference was adorable π
π I think the first one is the one (obviously) that is going to be remembered the most. And it’s not like it’s a huge effort to just even say the words, you know?
You tell ’em!!!!! My father used to say he wouldn’t honour us nor my mother because they weren’t “his mother”. Some men need a good boot in the butt, or to simply be ignored. =D Works for me. Great entry.
Ohhhhh, I have heard this one, too. In my house, that word coming from hunny is a swear word. π And because of that, I want to revolt when my kids call ME that! π
Hmmm… I bet a few surprised fathers to be just ran out and went shopping!
Heh, I hope so. One gal on a list I’m on was venting at how hurt a friend of hers was that the husband missed the first Mother’s Day. No idea if she was preggers or or had already had her baby, but the first one- whether the baby is out of the box or not- is important!
haha, that is so true! one of my best friends just had her daughter, but all through the pregnancy she glowed like a mother (:
Awww, so sweet! I hope she had a wonderful day with her new baby!
