I am going to tell the truth. Honestly.
Unless I lie. 😀
We actually did this exercise, earlier this year, as part of a get-to-know-you leadership development exercise. Except it was two truths and a lie.
If you were there, you can’t play along. If you’ve been reading along, you’ll probably have these figured out in a jiffy.
1) My favorite pet is a chicken.
2) I am fluent in German.
3) I am an introvert.
What do you think?
But wait- shouldn’t there be one more? Nope. Those are the ones I used. I’m going to use totally different ones this time. 😆
1) My arms are double jointed. Yep. I used to be able to do neat stuff with them, like twist them all the way around. Now I’m just old. I can still get my legs over my shoulders, though. As far as I can tell, none of my kids have gotten this trait.
2) My favorite color is red. Yep. Not only is it the color of my chicken condos, but my closet is loaded with it. Being blonde and blue-eyed makes red a great color for me, and when I’m tan during the summer, it’s the best color on me. I tend to naturally gravitate to wearing colors that look good on me, and while I worried that my purple toe nail polish would clash, it didn’t bother me. I’m pretty sure my new blue toes will look better with my all my red clothes, though.
3) I am allergic to most sunscreens. Yep. The only kind that doesn’t break me out and make my ears look like Dumbo is Bullfrog. It’s even dangerous to me to put sunscreen on my kids, because if I get any on me, I pay for it.
4) I’ve had babies under water. Yep. I have. I would have gone for home births for all 4, had that been an option. Ya win some; ya lose some. But at least I got to do that.

What’s your verdict? Give me your two cents! 😆
Trifextra: Week Fifteen weekend challenge!
Bring it.
~~~~~~~~~This might be a voting -for -the -winner deal, so don’t forget to check back at Trifecta this weekend to vote after the submission period has ended!
You should get a squirt bottle of the sunscreen so you can just spray the kids from afar.
hehehe.
I pick Red is your favorite color as the lie.
What’s your reasoning? 😆
I don’t think it would occur to most people to make up number 4.
I think you may have mentioned something about number 3.
And I’m about to embarrass the hell out of myself and show how bad my memory is, but I’ve got a nagging feeling you mentioned you were colorblind.
though, even if I’m wrong, I’m sticking with that choice.
😆 I am not color blind.
On another note, a friend posted on her FB status update:” I am clearly a part of a small group of people who would get excited about what’s in my fridge. Bet it’s not something that you would ever put in yours… Or at least not most of you. Yep, I’m weird.”
I was the only friend who guessed the correct item, which was {drumroll, please}- placenta. And it wasn’t hers. :lol:.
Apparently, you missed that conversation. 😆
I pick Red is your favorite color as the lie too. That was my first initial thought, then I thought maybe it was the sunscreen one, but I’m sticking with Red.
I played this game at our Company Christmas Party last year. It was fun and interesting to learn things like this about people I work with. 🙂
Have a great weekend!!
Well sheesh! What’s your reasoning? What’s everyone got against red? 😆
Too much detail.
Purple toenail polish, blue toenail polish. . .
Look at your four paragraphs. The only one you over elaborated on was the color red. May not be correct, but that’s the main reason I chose Red. 🙂
Well, that and I TOTALLY believe you are double jointed, lol, and water births are cool, everyone should do it at least once. . . so there ya go!
In my “I’m weird” post, I was wearing purple and in the comments, I said how I was going to change to blue, after having purple for over 2 years…….. 😆
I was also running out of word count…….. I totally changed my first one because I had too many, and had to thin the herd….. lol
I admitted I could be wrong. . . . but I’m sticking with it 🙂
😆 I’m working on another set…….. hee hee.
I’ll post all the answers on Sunday……… 😀
PS- I’ll eventually answer this. 😉
Re: “I can still get my legs over my shoulders, though…”
It surprises me that no one commented on that. Make sure “Hunny” knows about this one. And that’s all I have to say about that. 🙂
😆 I’m pretty sure that, if it’s true, he prolly already knows. 😉
I’m going to pick #2, as well. You seemed to spend more time being convincing with that one. I’m pretty sure the home birth thing is true because you homeschool. Plus, I’m not really sure red would be a good color for a blonde with blue eyes. But what the hell do I know. I wear hot pink panties that say “I love boys” on the ass.
😆 The closest I can get to that is that I’m wearing neon green undies right now. There aren’t any words on them, though. I’m pretty sure you win. 😆
I’m going to vote for red as the lie. My reasoning: “what’s your favorite color?” is such a common interview question that it’s the easiest one to prepare an alt answer for.
They really ask that in interviews? 😯 Wow. I’m really starting to feel sorry for red right about now. 😆
My vote is for double-jointed. Elmers glue will work in a pinch for sunscreen. 😉
No way! Elmer’s glue? I had no idea! Is that because it makes you all pasty and the sticky- then -hardning coating blocks out the sun?
The hard coating blocks the sun. But it also stops your pores from breathing and cooling off your body with your sweat. You’d die from overheating and possibly asphyxiation.
Don’t do it. The wink was to show it was a joke.
😆 😉 I’m pretty sure a person could use rubber cement and it would work equally well. Mostly just because you’d be so high you wouldn’t give a darn…….. heh.
🙂
I’m so dying reading these comments. I am not double jointed but, until I had kids I could totally get my feet behind my head so I figure if you are dj, you could probably still do it. Does run in my family though. Watching the tricks makes me nauseous, especially twisting arms around, gag.
I pick red too. But then again, I never did love a blonde in red. And, um, I’ve pretty much made this whole thing about me so … never mind.
PS. Homebirths = awesome! 2/3 for me. But not in the water … I was too lazy to get a pool.
😆 I totally would have done homebirths if we had that option here. Never have; probably never would. Too high for insurance costs, and now, all the midwives here work for the one major OB practice. Fortunately with the last 2, we had a free-standing birthing center which closed shortly after the last was born, based completely on the lack of help she was able to find. Sad, but true. We are living in the dark ages.
Although, if I had that option, I probably would have used my jacuzzi tub, which was basically like the birthing tubs they had there.
And really? People haven’t seen blonds who look good in red?! I think someone must be lying to the world! 😯
I’m saying Red. I’m just feeling it. But all of these choices are excellent. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! 😆
REd. Definitely.
😆
I’m guessing the red is a lie. It did go into a longer explanation than the others (summer tan, blonde hair, blue eyes, nail polish color, etc.)
😀 😆
Well everybody’s going for red. I’ll just say I’m a horrid guesser and worse liar. But I love all four even if they’re all complete BS!!
😆 Thank you! 😀
Ha, it seems the consensus in ‘red’. I think I agree but I’m not sure…
This was a very enjoyable piece. I hope you join us for the weekday challenge too.
Absolutely! I always love writing about Frank and Macy because they are kind of like a favorite pair of shoes…….. 😆
You have chickens? I love chickens. No lie!
I DO!!!! I even have a whole category on my blog for them! I’m a victim of chicken math, and I have to say, I am a bit on the fanatical side. 😀 We’ve got 23 right now, including 10 babies, but out of this batch, we’ve got probably at least three boys that will have to be rehomed. Blossom (one of the sultans) is very, very quiet and hasn’t screeched in 3 days. I added 3 more easter eggers to balance out our blue/green to brown egg ratio {although, they could all very well lay brown/pink eggs, it was worth the risk! 😉 }
There is nothing better than friends with benefits!
